Cabo Blanco & Local Insight

Combine the best of two worlds on this mini journey exploring wildlife inside Cabo Blanco Nature Reserve, and local living in the surrounding town of Cabuya. Your guide will accompany you on the short trail through Cabo Blanco pointing out interesting flora and fauna, then venture outside the park to see Cabuya Island, visit a local producer of natural goods such as honey or marmalade and top it all off with a light breakfast of coffee and pastries at a local restaurant. This tour is ideal for those who prefer lighter hikes and cultural sights.

When: 7:30am-12pm. Available Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. (Not available any Mondays or Tuesdays due to park closure.)

Let’s Get Local (Cabuya)

On this journey, we’ll show you hidden spots including a fishing village, cemetery island and local marmalade producer in the quaint town of Cabuya just south of Montezuma. You’ll have the opportunity to meet locals and learn about their lifestyle to get a taste of culture in the peninsula and give you the feeling of really being in Costa Rica. This is a great option for families of all ages as there is minimal physical activity involved and just a short drive, but offers many interesting sights to see.

When: 8:00am-11:00am. Available Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays & Saturdays. (48-hour advance reservation appreciated for this tour)
